Users can monitor Gemini's progress through live notifications, providing transparency and control over the automated process. They can jump in at any time to make adjustments or provide further instructions.
Users can circle an entire outfit in an image, and the system will identify the individual pieces. The "find the look" feature will also offer a virtual try-on option, allowing users to visualize how the clothes would look on them.
According to Samsung, "nearly 8 in 10 users now rely on more than two types of AI agents". This multi-agent approach is intended to offer users more choice and flexibility in how they interact with AI.
Android is getting new AI-powered features focused on automating multi-step tasks, enhancing object recognition in images, and proactively detecting potential scams. Gemini will automate tasks like ordering rideshares, while Circle to Search will identify multiple objects for shopping and information. These updates aim to make mobile experiences more intuitive and secure.
The new AI features, including the enhanced Gemini and Circle to Search, will first be available on flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Google Pixel 10. The initial rollout will be in the US and Korea.
Gemini will automate multi-step tasks by operating in the background and providing live progress updates. Users can delegate tasks such as ordering food or compiling grocery lists, and they can monitor and adjust the process as needed. This feature will initially be limited to specific food, grocery, and rideshare apps.
The updated Circle to Search feature will allow users to identify multiple objects in an image simultaneously, enabling a 'find the look' shopping experience. Users can circle an entire outfit to identify individual pieces and virtually try them on. Beyond fashion, it can also identify plants, tools, or ingredients in any image.
Samsung is building an open AI ecosystem around its Galaxy devices by integrating various AI agents, including Google's Gemini and Samsung's Bixby. The Galaxy S26 series will also support a new Perplexity hotword – “Hey Plex”. Samsung says that most users now rely on multiple AI agents, so this offers users more choice and flexibility.
